Almost our entire day went just looking for this creature that somehow entered our kitchen even though all our doors & windows were closed. For hours, we tried to find where it had hidden and to get it out with the help of others. We smoked the whole place, banged on everything, searched, and moved everything from the kitchen out… a Forest Dept. snake catcher, who is a professional, also came and tried all sorts. Hit spray, lizard spray, petrol… Still no signs of it. He finally said, “There is no snake here,” and left. Not satisfied with this, Jasher placed a security camera in the kitchen, and we went upstairs praying, “Snake, come out in Jesus’ Name! You cannot hide in our house, and you have no authority over us!”
In no time, we got notified of movement and saw the snake on camera, alive and well in the kitchen despite all this! Jasher started going down to check on it and found it climbing up the stairs! It froze there while we waited for the snake catcher to return.
Then, we realised that our house keys were all downstairs, and to even allow the guy in, we would need to first cross the snake. So we commanded it to go back down the steps. In a while, as Jasher was trying to take pictures of it with a flash, it turned and went back down and hid itself beside his shoes at the foot of the stairs. In order to create some vibration and keep it from moving more, we started playing music and loudly singing the song we had sung over and over again on Sunday at Powerhouse Church. Part of it goes, “Christ is my firm foundation, the rock on which I stand, when everything around me is shaken, I’ve never been more glad that I put my faith in Jesus, He’s never let me down, He’s faithful through generations, so why would He fail now? He won’t!… I’m safe with You, I’m gonna make it through!” (You can hear it playing in the background of the video.)
Jasher was able to go down the steps safely and let the snake catcher in. Thank God the snake catcher was able to catch the snake so easily and get it out at last! As tiny as it seems, no one would be at peace with a snake hiding somewhere in the house! Most of all, we are safe and secure, and nothing worse happened! 🙌🏼
